What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember your preferences and keep you signed in.
How we use cookies
ParrotB uses a minimal set of cookies necessary to operate the platform. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We do not sell data derived from cookies.
Cookie inventory
The table below lists every cookie ParrotB sets, its purpose, and how long it lasts.
| Cookie name | Category | Purpose | Duration | Set by |

| lang | Functional | Remembers your preferred language (IT / EN / ES) across visits. | 1 year | ParrotB |
| test_mode | Functional | Identifies an active UI usability test session. Only set for invited testers. | 24 hours | ParrotB |

| ph_* (PostHog) | Analytics | Product analytics for understanding how users interact with the platform. Set only when you consent to analytics cookies. Used for cross-session tracking to improve the product experience. | 1 year | PostHog (EU) |
Essential cookies
Essential cookies are required for the site to work and cannot be disabled. They include authentication session cookies (from Supabase, our database provider, hosted in Frankfurt, EU) and your consent record.
Functional cookies
Functional cookies improve your experience by remembering preferences such as your language choice. You can decline functional cookies - this means your language preference will not be saved between visits.
Analytics cookies
We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It measures page visits and performance metrics using IP address hashing - no cookies are set, no personal data is retained, and no data is sold or shared with third parties. This complies with GDPR without requiring cookie consent.
We also use PostHog (EU-hosted) for product analytics. PostHog cookies are set only when you consent to analytics cookies via our cookie banner. Without consent, PostHog runs in memory-only mode (no cookies, no persistent identifiers). PostHog helps us understand how users interact with the platform so we can improve the experience. No data is sold or shared with third parties.
Error monitoring (legitimate interest)
We use Sentry for error monitoring and performance tracking under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest). Sentry collects technical data about errors (stack traces, browser info, page URL) to help us fix bugs and maintain platform reliability. It does not set cookies for tracking purposes, does not collect personal data beyond what is necessary for error diagnosis, and data is processed within the EU.
Third-party cookies
ParrotB does not embed third-party scripts (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, etc.) that set their own cookies. The only third-party cookie activity comes from Supabase Auth, which is a data processor acting on our behalf under an Art. 28 GDPR agreement.
Managing your preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings - note that clearing session cookies will sign you out of the dashboard.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies. Material changes will be notified via a new consent prompt.
